Tourism: All eyes on Turkey

Turkey is a wonderful and amazing tourist destination of the world, blessed by a rich history influenced by the Ottoman Empire. A large number of Tourist form across the globe every year, visit and enjoy the beauty of Turkey.


Turkey offers an incredible holiday destination, and it combines everything you might need for fun, relaxation, and, above all, memorable holidays. As we say, Turkey is a spellbinding city where cultures collide. From the holy sites of Hagia Sophia to the world’s oldest market, the elegance of the Grand Bazaar attracts thousands of visitors and shoppers every day from across the world. The natural site of Pamukkale and the wonderful view of Cappadocia are in a historical region in Central Anatolia. It is easy for tourists to discover the fragrance of Istanbul, where old and modern coexist. Most tourists think that Istanbul is the capital of Turkey, but the capital of Turkey is Ankara, and whoever hears this is quite surprised.


It is no secret to anyone that Turkey is an important tourist destination, and it is considered one of the most important destinations in the world in terms of natural tourism, historical tourism, religious tourism, and medical tourism.


Istanbul

Istanbul is a famous tourist destination, and it is blessed to have Hagia Sophia. It has many monuments of historical importance. Some monuments are Sultan Ahmet Cami, Maiden’s Tower, Galata Tower, Dolmabahçe Palace, Besilica Cistern, Taksim, and Besiktas.


Antalya

There are 10 places in Antalya, but the best ones are the Antalya Museum, the Roman Fortress, Yivli Minare, Old Town, Hadrian’s Gate, Aspendos, and Konyaalti Beach. Antalya is well-known for its beaches, sandstone cliffs, and mountains in the surrounding area. If you have been in Antalya, please try to visit Kaleici (Old Town).


Bursa

Bursa is a worthwhile place stuffed with monuments, mosques, and historical sites from the early Ottoman Empire, and it is nicknamed "YeÅŸil Bursa" (Green Bursa). Do not forget to eat "Iskender Kebap" and the unforgettable taste of Kestane Sekeri (Turkish Dessert). Some of the attractions are Grand Mountain, the Central Bazaar, Cumalikizik, a village built in typical Ottoman style, Muradiye Tombs, UludaÄŸa, Bursa Grand Mosque, Green Mosque Tomb, Ä°znik.


Urfa

Urfa is known as Åžanlıurfa and was the birthplace of Abraham before his migration to Canaan, now Palestine. Sanliurfa is one of Turkey's great pilgrimage cities. Some of the top attractions are Gölbaşı. There is a sacred fishpond (Balıklı göl). Balıklıgöl , Gobekli Tepe, Åžanlıurfa Archaeology Museum, Halil ul Rahman Mosque, Gazintep Zoo, Cave of Abraham, Urfa Castle, Gölbaşı Holy Land, Harran Sit Alaani. 


Konya

Konya is one of the best places to visit and one of Turkey’s most famous religious tourist attractions. There are museums and monuments that showcase the artistry and architecture of the Seljuk sultanate. Tourist places are the Mevlana Museum, whirling dervishes, which are called Sema. The whirling is a form of prayer and meditation that dervishes believe brings them closer to God. Karatay Museum, Ince Minare Mosque, and do not forget to explore the village of Sille.

Turkey is packed with the world's most surreal panoramas, and I tried to unpack above some tourist places of Turkey, besides that, some of the more interesting tourist places are Ä°zmir, Fethiye, Gaziantep, Ankara, EskiÅŸehir, Antakya, Trabzon, Edirne, Kars, and Tokat which I will cover in a later article.
