Eid al-adha 2023

In the golden glow of the morning sun,

A joyous celebration has just begun,

Eid al-Adha, a sacred day,

Where hearts unite, and spirits sway.

In the realm of faith, a bond so strong,

Muslim brothers and sisters join the throng,

A time to commemorate, to reflect and pray,

To honor the teachings, to follow the way.

Gathered together, in festive attire,

Filling the air with laughter and desire,

Beneath the canopy of a sky so blue,

The spirit of unity shines bright and true.

The faithful, adorned in garments new,

With gratitude and reverence, their hearts imbue,

To the Kaaba, their faces are inclined,

Seeking blessings, a peace of mind.

As the call to prayer echoes through the land,

A chorus of souls, united, hand in hand,

The melody of devotion fills the air,

Echoing gratitude, spreading love and care.

In the humble abode, preparations unfold,

The aroma of spices, stories yet untold,

Families come together, their hearts in tune,

Sharing blessings beneath the crescent moon.

The sacrificial feast, a symbolic rite,

To commemorate Ibrahim's faithful plight,

An act of surrender, an act of love,

Reflecting the blessings from the One above.

Charity and compassion, virtues embraced,

For the less fortunate, a smile to be traced,

In giving, we find solace and peace,

A gesture of kindness that will never cease.

Children's laughter fills every street,

Their innocence and joy, a melody sweet,

With gleaming eyes and radiant smiles,

They embrace the festival's vibrant styles.

As the sun sets, the day draws near,

A time to reflect, to shed a tear,

For in this celebration, we also recall,

The tests and trials, the struggle of all.

Eid al-Adha, a journey of the soul,

A reminder of faith that makes us whole,

May the blessings of this sacred day,

Guide us on our path, as we humbly pray.

So let our hearts be filled with cheer,

As we bid farewell to this day so dear,
